I got a bit of time last weekend to do some work update on the Skin shader for zbrush BPR single pass… but before anything, I have to say that I am blown away but the upcoming features of zbrush 4R7, specially the hard surface modeling tools, and off course the keyshot integration that looks insane! well done Pixologic! (in case you missed the zbrush summit here is a demo: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?188264-Presenting-ZBrush-4R7). Having seen all that awesomeness I still believe that the single pass BPR render its a great tool for rendering your models and that it still has a lot of potential and that is why I decided to continue with the skin shader tests I have been doing and to put together a tutorial that might be of some use for some of you.

here is a quick turntable video I did on the weekend with the infinite head scan and the shader (I exaggerated the contribution of all the shaders so that their effect is more clear but ideally they are used very subtlety).

I hope you guys like it and stay tuned for more updates and (hopefully soon) the tutorial.
